Market demand as the sum of individual demand | APⓇ Microeconomics | Khan Academy

The market demand is derived from the summation of individual demand curves (also known as a demand schedule). In this video, you can visualize why this is true.
AP(R) Microeconomics on Khan Academy: Microeconomics is the study of individual decisionmakers in an economy, such as people, households, and firms. Learn how markets work, how incentives drive decisionmaking, and how market structure influences market outcomes. We hit the traditional topics from an AP Microeconomics course, including basic economic concepts, markets, production and costs, profit maximization perfect competition, imperfectly competitive market structures, game theory, factor markets, and income inequality.
About Khan Academy: Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. We tackle math, science, computer programming, history, art history, economics, and more. Our math missions guide learners from kindergarten to calculus using stateoftheart, adaptive technology that identifies strengths and learning gaps. We’ve also partnered with institutions like NASA, The Museum of Modern Art, The California Academy of Sciences, and MIT to offer specialized content.

Special thank you to Dan Gray, who took us on this Korean street food tour. You can follow him at https://www.instagram.com/seouleats/ and https://www.seouleats.com/ KoreanFood KoreanStreetFood Netflix
STREET FOOD NETFLIX Seoul, South Korea
I did enjoy watching the Street Food Netflix show, especially the amazing cinematography and the amazing stories of the people behind the food. However, there wasn’t much emphasis, if any, on the eating part of the street food. So I happen to be in Seoul for a few days, and I happen to know Dan Gray (https://www.instagram.com/seouleats/), who helped arrange the Seoul Street Food Netflix episode, and so he took us on the same tour, except this time, focused on eating everything.
Here are the places covered in the Street Food Netflix, Korean street food in Seoul episode:
Gwangjang Market Most of the entire episode was filmed at the famous Gwangjang Market, a market I’ve been to many times, and is a must visit for Korean food lovers in Seoul.
Yoonsun Cho Gohyang Kalguksu Stall Most of the Netflix Seoul episode was based around Yoonsun Cho and her incredible kalguksu, hand made knife cut noodles. They were very homestyle tasting, very comforting and delicious. She also serves a number of other dishes including nangmyeon, and seaweed noodles, all of which were very good. Her sauce is also amazing, and her kimchi. Price 5,000 KRW ($4.21) per bowl
Honglim Banchan Stall Probably the most delicious food on this entire Korean street food tour Netflix episode was the soy marinated crab from Honglim Banchan Stall. The crab was melt in your mouth and the marinade was perfect. Even better is when she scooped out some roe and mixed it with rice in the shell.
Bindaetteok stall There’s an entire section of Korean street food dedicated to bindaetteok at Gwangjang Market. Along with these crispy mung bean pancakes, we also ordered Yukhoe, Korean raw beef with egg and pear. Price 30,000 KRW ($25.27) total
Dongdaemun Food Street Finally, the last thing in the Street Food Netflix episode of Seoul was the Baffle, a unique creation of rice made into a waffle, filled and topped with all sorts of interesting things. Price 4,000 KRW ($3.37)
It was a fun Korean street food tour, and we all had a great time eating and meeting the friendly vendors from the show.

Stock futures headed toward a higher open Thursday morning after a slew of earnings results from the big banks topped expectations, and new weekly jobless claims showed a largerthananticipated improvement to a pandemicera low.
The S\u0026P 500 was on track for a second straight session of gains. Nasdaq futures outperformed, adding to gains as Treasury yields fell further. The benchmark 10year yield pulled back further to come in below 1.53% after topping 1.62% just earlier this week.
Bank earnings continued on Thursday with companies including Bank of America (BAC), Wells Fargo (WFC) and Morgan Stanley (MS) posting quarterly results before the opening bell. Bank of America’s profits soared by 58% over last year to $7.7 billion, with this sum boosted by the release of $1.1 billion in credit reserves that had been previously set aside to protect against potential customer defaults. Wells Fargo’s results saw a similar boost from reserve releases, as well as from increased investment banking revenue and consumer credit cardrelated sales. And Morgan Stanley posted estimatestopping revenue in both its fixed income and equities trading units, with the bank seeing a pickup in business as market activity related elevated during the quarter.
As earnings season rolls on in the coming weeks, investor focus will be fixed on companies’ commentary around prices increases, supply chain disruptions and labor challenges. All of these factors have been seen as contributing to an earnings slowdown compared to the second quarter. However, how longlasting these challenges prove to be, and which companies will ultimately be hit the hardest by these factors, has been a central question for investors.
At the macro level, inflation has already lasted for months across various pockets of the economy. The Bureau of Labor Statistics’ (BLS) September Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 5.4% in September compared to last year, coming in at its fastest pace since 2008. A jump in prices for rent, groceries and energy saw especially notable increases. And the BLS’s Producer Price Index (PPI) showed that selling prices for producers increased at an 8.6% annual rate in September, or the fastest rate on record in data spanning back to 2010.
